FAQs about hotels in Valencia

A Walk Through History

As the city that brought paella to the world, Valencia is a culinary delight. Sipping fresh, local orange juice, whilst enjoying tasty tapas in a pavement café, is not to be missed.

Wandering this relaxed city is like taking a walk through history. From the Roman remains in the archaeological museum to the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, the architecture ranges from the dramatic to the sublime. A mix of styles from the outside, medieval Valencia Cathedral comes into its own inside. The gilt carvings and vibrantly-painted dome are a sight to behold.

The greatest triumph of city planning is the Turia River Park. Created on the bed of a redirected river, it provides much-needed shade in a city with an impressive sunshine record. Of course, you can always cool down on the fantastic beaches, lapped by warm Mediterranean waters.

Former hosts of the European Grand Prix, Valencians take their sport seriously and so they should. Try to take in a match at the 75000-seater Valencia FC stadium to experience the electric atmosphere.

As Spain’s 3rd largest city, Valencia has wild nightlife, so if that’s your cup of tea, city centre hostels are a great choice. Alternatively, Booking.com also offers guest houses, central apartments and even hotels near Valencia Airport.

This city has something for everyone, from beautiful old buildings to modern architecture. The old city is a gem, boasting many tourist attractions. My favourite spot in Valencia is the City of Arts and Sciences. There are also many parks in the city, and the Jardín del Turia is stunning. You can relax there all day and discover exotic plants in the Botanic Garden. We also enjoyed the large beach and the beautiful sea. The transport system in Valencia is good, and you can reach every area by public transport. Another highlight is the food: you definitely have to try paella and fideuá, two Valencian specialities. Valencia is one of those European cities that you will never regret visiting.

Old town Valencia is a historic area with over 2000 years of history, new town is great especially the area around the City of Arts and Science complex, its beautiful Mediterranean beaches makes Valencia a place absolutely worth visiting. Valencia is also known for Paella a rice dish with chicken and rabbit or seafood but there is many other dishes/tapas to try in variety of restaurants and they are all very good.

The combination of beach and city is perfect.

The combination of beach and city is perfect. With family, a visit to the oceanographic and science museum is a great experience. To get around, you can rent a bike; the roads are bike-friendly, and with the park connecting bigger parts of the city, it's quite fast.

I love Barcelona, but decided to do something different and go to Valencia instead. I was very pleased and wish I had stayed a couple of days longer. Its a beautiful city with great food and lots of cool things to do. The city of arts and science was really cool, I spent a lot of time at the aquarium, Oceanographic. I did lots of wondering and shopping on and along Carrer de Colon which is right new Plaza Ayuntamiento which is beautiful to walk around in, and ate, drank and explored in and around Le Seu and El Carme. I spent an afternoon lounging on a rented beach chair at the beach, after eating a lovey brunch at Boa Beach. I had some of the best food at an absolutely beautiful place Living Bakali, very tasty ribs at Bar La Negri, a beautiful, delicious and very affordable meal as Soana, and really great paella at La Moma; but almost any stop I made for food, drinks or otherwise did not disappoint. Barcelona has my heart but Valencia is a worthy contender.

Four days in Valencia went quickly but were just enough to catch the sights. Not much into the museums and exhibitions so left out the aquarium but soaked in the atmosphere of the narrow streets of the old town, Turia park, central market, seaside and marina. Neighbourhood tavernas and bars offer great value for tapas style dining and quenching one's thirst. The public transport is efficient and inexpensive way to get around - the tourist card, if you are not going to visit a lot of museums etc. is not great value but what is not widely advertised is the SUMA T day card (24, 48 or 72 hrs for unlimited travel on Metrovalencia, EMT, MetroBus and RENFE Cercanías) available from the metro stations - if you arrive by air you can purchase SUMA T+ card which allows you also access to the airport. Mid September 2025 was out of season with less visitors but the day temperatures were in excess of +30C which, with humidity, could wear one out, so next visit will be later in the autumn.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location, right on the beach and close to the city centre. We only stayed one night before joining a cruise, but the room was great and the staff were super welcoming and friendly, they all spoke perfect english. We ate in the hotel restuarant in the evening and our meal was excellent, cannot fault this place and will definitely return!

The whole concept of the hotel having indoor plants, very nice looking graffitis, a somewhat cheap but really good breakfast, the daily cleaning of the rooms are some of the things that left me almost speechless since the hotel looks like nothing special on the outside but hides a diamond inside!!

Everything great. Notice that you have to pay 25 euros for the spa (jacuzzi etc), it was not included in our reservation. If you like luxury hotels this is for you, but if you want you can stay in a cheaper please and just come to use the spa (29 euros).the room is great.
