It's only a minute’s walk to the main street and a short stroll to the large supermarket, which made everything incredibly convenient. They refer you on to "la Grange" - 10 mins drive away - (excellent, if pricey); despite a negative google search there was in fact a good Italian style restaurant open in Arreau that evening which would have been easier.
