A superb location! The room was quiet and the staff were so friendly and inviting offering excellent local advice. We had a lovely corner room with lots of light and views of the park. The staff is super friendly, both at the reception/front desk as were the bar gentlemen. On our first night we came in later than expected, and were super hungry from a long day of traveling. The lady at the reception called a local French restaurant and reserved a table for us to go have dinner. We felt very welcomed. The restaurant was only 5 min away. They also helped us book a wine tour and guided trip to Saint Emilion the following day, so super helpful. The Hotel facility is top notch: very clean, tidy, excellent toiletries, towels with really good smells. Our room was more spacious than I had envisioned from the pictures. The bed very comfortable, bathroom also very spacious. One should not be put off by the sight of the building from outside, as the facility inside is very modern. The restaurant served breakfast in a beautiful room inside and an esplanade out the backyard. It also has an elegant bar which serves drinks and light snacks which we were happy to enjoy. There is also a rooftop to enjoy with access request from the reception. The hotel is easily center accessible, on a light 10 min walk to it. The area felt also safe, as me and my friend made all the commute to the center on foot and some nights we walked back very late at night. It is definitely worth a short, mid or long stay in lovely Bordeaux.

FAQs about hotels in Bordeaux

A Taste to Suit Everyone’s Palette

Raise your wine glass and toast the beautiful city of Bordeaux on the banks of the Garonne River. Having produced wine since the 8th century, it’s fair to say the second largest wine producer in the world is worth the trip for the vin alone. The city itself has spread outwards, rather than upwards, and the result is a very pretty town center, filled with stone mansions and terraced housing comparable to Paris.

Cultured Bordeaux is filled with museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art and Musee D'Aquitaine. The streets provide an equally interesting exhibition of fine architecture including the Victory Arch and the Aquitaine Bridge. On the shores of the river lies the Les Chartrons district, which is a blend of ferry boat rides, picturesque views and buzzing nightlife while the bars and cafes in the La Victoire district are frequented by students.

A tour of the famous vineyards is probably on the itinerary and this can be accomplished by visiting the wineries and châteaux privately or as part of a tour. You can also worship the wine gods at the Bordeaux Wine Festival held during the summer.

Visitors can easily make the short trip to the heart of Bordeaux from the Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport. With 70 hotels and bed & breakfasts available, Booking.com allows you to discover the vibrant and friendly heart of the vineyard region.

This city has so much to offer.

This city has so much to offer. It is a very walkable city, but also has great public transport. The landmarks and attractions are easy to access, and are all in relatively close proximity so you can plan a full day of excursions. The surrounding villages are so picturesque.

Great city, fabulous tram system, plenty to see over 3 days and the river trip is excellent. We did not buy a City Pass, just a 3 day tram pass and this was more than enough. The architecture reminds you of Paris/Versailles and just to walk round is wonderful. plenty of places to eat and drink, and the area around "Grandes Hommes" is very vibrant in the evening. there is a traditional French square around almost every corner.

Bordeaux is a great historic city with elegant eighteenth-century and medieval areas to explore, a centuries-old connection with wine production and export based on its position on the wide River Garonne, some excellent museums and galleries, and a an interesting and easily-accessible hinterland. It is well served by an efficient tram system and good links by train to other parts of the region.

The city is extremely diverse.

The city is extremely diverse. The sentence that came to me to describe it is it's a chill French ghetto resting on timeless history - and I mean this in THE best way possible. People are SO diverse, it's like everyone's free to be whoever they wish to be and noone getting into anyone's business about it. At first it seems a bit chaotic but after about half anhour it becomes just lovely really. Historical building are cool, as they are anywhere. My two personal favourites were the Darwin ecosystem and Passage Galerie Bordelaise - spent my last morning at the first and last lunch at the latter. One of the most peaceful, speacial days in when sightseeing.

Bordeaux is a fabulous city to visit for a few days. The architecture is impressive, the streets and squares with pavement cafes and restaurants, the great shopping opportunities, the 'Miroir d'Eau' always with great people-watching, lovely riverside green spaces, the ease of getting around by tram, impressive sculptures... so much to see and do.

The very modern hotel was a perfect place to enjoy Bordeaux! The tram station is right outside of the hotel, the rooms are new, not very big (but this is typical for France) and they have the shower included in the room, but everything is modern and very clean. The bed is very comfortable and the lobby area very nice. The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast: It offers fresh and delicious products that you rarely find in a hotel breakfast buffet. Definitely would book this hotel again if I would go again to Bordeaux!

What’s not to like? Convenient location, super clean, friendly staff, comfy bed, quiet room, air con (super important in the heatwave and not granted in hotels in France!)… I didn’t try the breakfast as I’m not one to eat in the morning, but I heard good things about it too.
