I enjoyed being able to practice my French where people...
I enjoyed being able to practice my French where people didn't speak English but there are restaurants with English staff if you don't speak any French. It is touristy but for French tourists not British. All reasonable prices especially if you have the fixed price lunch menus. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from even out of season. Great walks and little traffic. Masses of wild flowers. Beautiful beaches with white sand. Lots going on and great people watching opportunities. Some noise from the hard and some ugly industrial buildings but mostly beautiful views. Decent sized supermarket with lots of organic items but get your bread from the bakers. Typical, authentic Breton fishing harbour surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the "Presqu'ile de Crozon" a haven for walkers and trekking lovers, not to mention sailing. It was October so we could also park the car there easily. We particularly enjoyed the high quality breakfasts. It was a real pleasure to sit in the restaurant from 0800 to 0900 and watch night become day while enjoying fruit, yoghurt, smoked salmon, eggs, cheese, croissants, cakes and coffee! The general ambience was excellent - it is a relaxed hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The seafood - we had dinner there on two nights and lunch on another day - was just outstanding. The pool, the lovely location, the abundant parking - where does one stop? I don’t think we have hotels in England that somehow manage to combine all these qualities at an accessible price.
