The property at Ferme de Legrave is idyllic. The charming house has the most spectacular views and is such a gem in the beautiful Dordogne. Another guest put it perfectly: it is the middle of nowhere yet in the middle of everywhere. Each morning and evening the the warm glow of the fire made us feel right at home. Corine, the host, looked after us extremely well and offered a selection of home made jams, breads, croissants and cakes each morning along with fruits, hot drinks and freshly squeezed juice. She was also able to offer recommendations of places to visit and tell us what was on.

A convenient location just five minutes from St Cyprien. Although close to a busy road we heard no traffic noise from our room or the pool area. The property is in quite a central location for exploring the Dordogne by car. Christoph and Marina are very amenable hosts, whose intention was obviously to make our stay totally enjoyable. We had a very nice lunch at their restaurant, and while we didn’t use this service lighter meals (which looked nice and of generous size) were delivered to some other guests. The bed was amazing, the most comfortable bed I have slept in on several overseas trips!

This is a beautiful hotel ,lovingly restored with great taste by it's current owners. We felt totally relaxed and at home here .The staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly .Nothing was too much trouble . A delightful place to stay, and we hope to return again someday. Christelle and Jean-Etienne gave us a very warm welcome to Chateau d' Argentonesse and the Josephine Tower. We had a delightful few days in the Josephine Tower to celebrate my birthday, we only wished we had booked for longer. The property is surrounded by extensive gardens and has a beautiful pool for relaxing. The Chateau is very well positioned for touring the Dordogne River region, and the many picturesque medieval towns are only 20 minutes' drive away. We would highly recommend Chateau 'Argentonesse for your holiday. Christelle and Jean-Etienne should be commended for the amazing results to the renovations to ensure this beautiful property is preserved for future generations and visitors.
