Ideal variant for a sleep over. New, spacious (unbelievable bathroom for a road hotel), very clean, quiet. Breakfast is quite good for French standards :)) (buffet, scrambled eggs from egg powder and overfried bacon, but still you can have something hot early in the morning even on holiday. Also an egg can be boiled.) Normally, it's possible to visit a restaurant somewhere in vicinity, but on Christmas eve everything was closed. Still we got food just from the bar and this option was really helpful! Although it was just warmed up canned soup and chicken stewed with vegetables, everything was eatable and nicely served. It's also possible to have pizza, different snacks and desserts.

    Easy and cheap to park in the town centre.

    Easy and cheap to park in the town centre. Our host gave advice. Porcelain museum definitely worth a visit. Also the station buildings. We enjoyed walking around the medieval streets. We walked to the places of interest. We recommend Le Versailles brasserie. It is open on a Sunday and food is superb.

    We stayed Limoges specifically as a location to visit the Matyrs village at Oradour-sur-Glane. A moving place to visit I'd recommend to anyone with an interest in history and the brutality and hatred of the Nazi regime.

    The old town was charming and fun to wander around in. We had a wonderful meal in one the small plazas. Lots of restaurants and bars to enjoy and it was nice to be surrounded by locals rather than tourists - creates a great atmosphere.

    It can be a little hard to get your bearings in Limoges as...

    It can be a little hard to get your bearings in Limoges as the city is not flat and everything can feel a little scattered about (the city hall is miles away from the cathedral and the porcelain museum is yet again miles away from both). However, don't let that put you off visiting both the fine arts museum next to the cathedral as well as the porcelain museum (Musee Adrien Dubouche). The latter was extended and refurbished just a couple of years ago and the result is amazing with great technical insight into making pottery in general , the history of the local industry and a vast collection spanning almost every conceivable example. Well worth seeing.

    Nice walking in the historic inner town, some very interesting places to visit such as the museum of ceramics. We only stayed one full day which is clearly insufficient to get a decent overview of the city.

    Hotel in an older building with traditional character, very close to the centre of Limoges with parking just outside. Comfortable good sized rooms and spacious shower room that look like they have been recently renovated to a good standard. The hotel looks out over a square which has parking, but in the evening, with windows open, it could be noisy. However, closing the windows you couldn't hear a thing. A kettle and tea was provided in the room which makes for a great welcome after a day in the car.

    I liked the location across from station and near Limoges Centre. The lounge and dining room were spacious, my room and bath/shower were good size and the bed was very comfortable. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff were approachable and met my every need. I especially liked having a passage into the neighbouring restaurante with delicious local French cuisine.

    Quite a large, well designed and spacious room for a budget hotel. Good to have the parking garage underneath. Fairly close to the city centre which you can easily walk to. Great value for money.
