An interesting castle with a museum that we didn’t have the...
An interesting castle with a museum that we didn’t have the time to visit. There’s also connections with Joan of Arc in the town. A lovely town but it looks as though it has suffered in the recent economic downturn. They really need some more tourists to help the businesses pick up. It’s well worth it though. Super friendly hotel team who spoke very good English. They even made a restaurant suggestion and booked a table for me (Le Petit Charles, very good) Bedroom and bathroom were a good size. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was great. Breakfast had a great selection. The hotel team even suggested I put my motorcycle in the garage just for peace of mind. Mehun sur Yevre is also a lovely little town with a long history. The landlord couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and the hotel has a courtyard for secure parking.
