Consindering previous experience with BB hotel in Compiegne and Kyriad in Vannes, my mindset for this stay was not enthusiastic. How wrong I was! This hotel is extremely tidy - public spaces, bathrooms and rooms are clean and well maintained. Also the Staff, especially the manager at the reception desk was very helpful and he was speaking great English - the thing worth of notice in France. Both mornings during breakfast he proposed us scrambled eggs with bacon and asked if we need some help with anything, we also had a little conversation - great person in my opinion making this place! Consindering the value for money this hotel is great place to stay on your way across France.

The location was very nice, breakfast was good. Hotel has its own parking and there is direct lift from the parking to the hotel. Reception was friendly. In the hall there is a fridge where you can buy some food, water and tea is free.

We often stay in Poitiers but our usual hotel was full so this was our first stay at this hotel and it was fantastic. Staff were all really helpful and friendly, the restaurant was really good for dinner and breakfast. The grounds are superb especially if you are travelling with dogs. There are acres for the dogs to have a really good and safe run. The only down side was that they charge €30 per dog which is very expensive compared to all other hotels especially as they do not offer anything extra for the dogs.

    Poitiers was our chosen night stop as we drove North toward St Malo. We were there just for the night and left fairly soon after breakfast. We did manage to walk around the main town area after checking in that evening and it was full of interesting architecture. The main centre is closed to traffic and has many restaurants, cafe's and bars, creating a safe and easy ambiance, which I'm sure we would have enjoyed had more time been available.

    Lovely city, with much of modern and old.

    Lovely city, with much of modern and old. Very hilly if you stay out of town. Lots of students, as university town. Lots to explore. Plenty of restaurants, or you can grab a baguette, ice cream, pizza or cookie.

    Futurescope was a big disapointment to all my family. who's ages ranged from 5 to 82 years. The queues were anything up to 2 hours, and what was then particularly galling. V I P visitors were able to jump the queue to lengthen your wait. Some of the rides/shows were good , but one reallity ride we went on was past it's sell by date with the motions harsh and bruising. I wouldn't recommend it and certainly will not be going back.

    Logis Hôtel de l'Europe A wonderful hotel wish we could have stayed more than one night - staff very helpful parking a bonus Room was very spacious and comfortable Breakfast was excellent - choices and quality really good. Recommendation of Oh Le Bistro was spot on- short walk and great food and service. We will certainly stay again . Poitiers is worth a longer visit than we had time for on this occassion

    Poitiers is a medieval small city with a great deal of ancient and medieval monuments extremely important in the French history. It has a University from 1431 and 30,000 students from France and abroad every year. It is quite cheap in comparison with many other French cities which is why I would go there again for a short holiday or break. There are many lovely boutiques with high quality garments, shoes and hats. The square in front of Palais is charming and you can admire Poitiers architecture sitting at the table in Le Petit Alphonse.

    The reception was welcoming and the receptionist very informative. The location is ideally situated for those travelling through France towards Spain. The room was clean with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was fully stocked with the necessary towels and shower gel. The receptionist pointed us to a local food court, which was a short walk from the hotel. The food was excellent and the atmosphere vibrant. Should our travels bring us to Poitiers again, we will definitely stop here.

    As the hotel is in the centre of Poitiers, I was very glad that I checked where the car park was located in relation to the hotel reception and what the entry methods were, prior to travelling. Very useful to have your own car park.
