Looking online, Port-en-Bessin seemed a scenic little fishing port. Research showed lots of restaurants in close proximity of hotels. However visitors need to aware that almost the whole town closes on Sunday evenings and all of Monday making it difficult to find the ideal meal on those days. The town is not large but is quite beautiful if you enjoy a traditional fishing port with nice restaurants, bars and shops. O'Plan B restaurant owned by our hotel host is particularly good. Port-en-Bessin is a small fishing village that has a wide range of restaurants and small hotels. It is easy to get to from Caen port and is good as a base to visit local beaches and other areas of historic interest. Great little fishing Port. Lots to see and do. Seafood Restaurants cannot be beaten ans great selection of them. Excellent location for travelling out to various museums and the local museum is a stunning collection recovered from the sea by a local diver who's lifetime's work is displayed ,from uniform buttons to FULL TANKS. Omaha Beach GC is one of the most demanding in the area with cliff top views of the beach. I have stayed here for over 10 years without regret.Guest review byjeffUnited Kingdom

The hotel's partner restaurant is also first class. During our four day stay we only met with Delphine, the owner, but she could not have been kinder or more helpful throughout. She is lovely. Breakfast was an excellent version of what you would expect in France: delicious bread, croissants, fruit, yogurt, juices, and coffee/tea. We watched fishing boats coming in and out with a lovely sunset. The bedroom was very comfortable, modern and clean with a great shower. We had our evening meal in the restaurant the staff were very friendly the food was excellent in a very relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was very fresh with great tasting coffee.
