Looking online, Port-en-Bessin seemed a scenic little fishing port. Research showed lots of restaurants in close proximity of hotels. However visitors need to aware that almost the whole town closes on Sunday evenings and all of Monday making it difficult to find the ideal meal on those days. The town is not large but is quite beautiful if you enjoy a traditional fishing port with nice restaurants, bars and shops. O'Plan B restaurant owned by our hotel host is particularly good. Port-en-Bessin is a small fishing village that has a wide range of restaurants and small hotels. It is easy to get to from Caen port and is good as a base to visit local beaches and other areas of historic interest. Great little fishing Port. Lots to see and do. Seafood Restaurants cannot be beaten ans great selection of them. Excellent location for travelling out to various museums and the local museum is a stunning collection recovered from the sea by a local diver who's lifetime's work is displayed ,from uniform buttons to FULL TANKS. Omaha Beach GC is one of the most demanding in the area with cliff top views of the beach. I have stayed here for over 10 years without regret.Guest review byjeffUnited Kingdom

Reception staff were very welcoming, friendly and had a good spot to store our bikes. The room was extremely comfortable with a big bed and a modern bathroom. When we arrived the owner upgraded us to a sea view so we looked out over the harbour. Although the hotel is in the town it was very quiet at night and we slept well.
