Touring the area by motorcycle house hunting, in preparation for a move to France, we found many towns felt very 'Sad' and run down. Saint Junien felt much more alive and upbeat. A few lively bars, very few properties in poor repair and the town had nothing that would cause concern, either as a holiday stay or even as a town for relocation consideration. Our stay was short, but there was plenty to see for longer stays, we will definitely return and even modify the next road trip to build in a night or two in this wonderful town.Guest review byAlan - 10
The place is simply beautiful.
The place is simply beautiful. Perfect for couples who want some quality time together. A nice long walk and soak up the history. Go for a romantic meal and just relax. We ate at Le Boeuf Rouge, the food was delicious and the service was first class.Guest review byChrissy

Our room was at the back of the hotel, and very quiet and well equipped. The receptionist was ‘a pocket rocket’. She was very hands on in the restaurant too, at dinner - the hotel is fortunate to have such an employee! Dinner was great, and value for money (€24 for 3 courses was our choice). This hotel is definitely boutique and fabulous. Everything you could ever want. Lauryvan Restaurant is exceptional. Food was delicious and only 2 mins drive away. You could walk it and have a little tiple. Swimming pool looked so inviting but just didn't get tge chance to use it. We will definitely return.
