Beautiful sympathetically restored gite in a quiet location close to our route to Portugal. We arrived late and left early and wished we could have stayed longer. The car parking area is nice and secure with a locked electronic gate.

Location is great, in the middle of the fields, very calm. The hosts were very kind (the cats too). We had dinner there and they managed to fix us a 3 course meal last minute that was very good. Breakfast was good.

Great place. The history of the cottage is very interesting. It is probably typical of a French Gite, but the walls were very thick, which kept the temperatures moderated inside of the house. The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was nice with a large shower and 2 sinks in the vanity. I liked the separation between the bedrooms and the bathroom as I used the bathroom at night, and it was nice not to have to worry about disturbing anyone. The hot water was hot and plentiful for the 2 of us. There is a great boulangerie just 2 blocks away ... but sadly, they closed for renovations for 3 weeks right after we got there. My boyfriend really enjoyed the fresh baguette he did get from there our first day and was disappointed about missing out on more. The animals were a novelty, too. The chickens got somewhat close to us, and the other animals kept a bit more distance. The location was good for visits to the lower Loire. The house itself was very rural and quiet. Even the church bells only started at 7am and were not loud. I enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
