An extraordinary town overflowing with mediaeval buildings so very picturesque. Many bars and restaurants. A fabulous Musee d'Art Moderne, unexpectedly good! Troyes is a beautiful example of a town packed full of half-timbered medieval houses everywhere you look. And so many churches and a beautiful cathedral. It's well worth a visit and specifically look out for the stained glass windows and we would recommend a visit to the Cite du Vitrail which is a fabulous museum about stained glass and apothecaries. Good location, within a short walk of the old centre of the city. Modern hotel with good sized rooms, especially the bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. Safe, underground parking is available as is on-site electric vehicle charging at a reasonable cost.
