Alison and Yas are lovely pair and take care of any of your wishes so you feel really special and as you were at home. The location is beautiful, close to Edinburgh and Glasgow, the Stirling castle is just 40 mins drive. Such a quiet and cosy place🤩, I could spend hours just sitting in the living room and watching the lake.

Lovely old property directly facing a beautiful loch. The upstairs double room overlooked the Loch and was furnished well with a very comfortable bed and modern en-suite shower room/wc. Breakfast, a full Scottish was excellent quality.

Loved that it is far away from the usual day to day yet close to so many locations/attractions. Property had everything we required, including food safely prepared for our celiac daughter. It has ample space for an evening walk, fantastic and freshly prepared food (breakfast/lunch/dinner), as well as a playground for the little ones.

We liked everything with Tony being the epicentre of everything that was wonderful about this stay. We stay in a lot of properties and this was by far the most complete and memorable stay we have ever had.

Cute community run Inn. Good local food. Great atmosphre and history. Location in the middle of small village / town. Great base for activites in surrouding area. Breakfast on the lighter side but good quality. Dinner was nice experience because it was served in the pub ( becuase of the quize night ). Lots of locals around.

Lovely location in the countryside. Martin and Maggie, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen was very well stocked to get you started, even a bottle of wine and chocolates. Thank you for a lovely stay.

    I loved everything about The Bield.

    I loved everything about The Bield. Aberfoyle is a beautiful area. We had food at The fairies Tree which was lovely. The house was perfect. A great place to stay. There were 13 of us with plenty of room inside. Would definately recommend. The owner was only a phone call away if needed.

    Aberfoyle is a fairly small town with small shops, eateries and accommodation. A must visit is the sheep and ducks outside the woollen mill. Seeing ducks being herded by a sheep dog is brilliant. The nearby Dukes Pass, and Queen Elizabeth Forest Park was brilliant for scenery, walks of all abilities, and nature. Go Ape with the zip slides etc is also available for the more adventurous. A really beautiful area and well worth a visit.

    Aberfoyle is a beautiful little village.

    Aberfoyle is a beautiful little village. You must visit Maggie’s Kitchen. Delicious, traditionally made sweet treats and baked goods. The wool place is really interesting and fun too. Make sure you visit the little wool hut out the front to get wool and woollen goods made from wool off the sheep just outside the door! We didn’t visit any of the cafes or pubs as we were following a specific eating plan.. but they all looked fabulous. Just a lovely part of the world.

    Lovely little village, nice local shops - go to The Station Cafe for breakfast (or anything you fancy) - loved the breakfast rolls and cake - lovely staff and gorgeous food! Would go back again just for the caramel slice :D

    We have visited Aberfoyle on three occasions this year!

    We have visited Aberfoyle on three occasions this year! Once with our family of fourteen in a large house! Once with friends in nearby Gartmore and recently in Forest Hills hotel! We have seen Aberfoyle in the springtime, autumn and winter! S splendid place to bd at any time of the year!

    The Forest Hills Hotel is situated in an elevated position north of Loch Ard. The views of the Loch and surrounds from the rear balcony are simply stunning. We enjoyed sitting in the terrace having some drinks. The rooms are roomy and the beds comfortable. The lounge areas are very comfortable with some period furniture dotted around. The restaurant is situated in the conservatory and the views at the front were very satisfying while having breakfast.

    We had a wonderful stay at Crannaig House, can't rate it highly enough. Shaun and Kate are absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing stay. The house is beautiful, our room was perfect, hot tub was incredible and breakfast was delish. The house is in a great location for exploring Aberfoyle and the surrounding area, will for sure visit again.

    The location of the hotel, with its well kept gardens and position overlooking Loch Ard and Forest is absolutely incredible. The children enjoyed the outdoor games, giant draughts, chess and football. The pool and leisure facilities were well maintained with good opening hours.

    Breakfast was excellent,,, Location was a bit isolated,,, The history of the (Hotel) building and area was very interesting, as it used to be a WWll prisoner of war camp 🏕 and in the reception area there is a letter displayed on wall from one of the inmates from that camp,
