Lovely clean laid back village very friendly people great fish & chips "haggis" deep fried mars bar! Plenty of cafes "our place" has a unique vibe attentive staff lovely food & drinks floral selfie wall spotless toilets. Large Tesco on the way into Annan Westlands has various shooting bookable, a modern restaurant serving beautiful food we had our wedding breakfast meal for 4 here family & dog friendly. Restaurants shut early. We had long drive by 7pm only angliars open great food there. Things close to do with the grandchildren. Quater cake cafe excellent for food, friendliness, clean, good value. My trip to Annan proved to be a culinary delight. My breakfast at the Corner House Hotel and my evening meal at the 'Our Place' restaurant were both truly exceptional. Also, the staff could not have been more friendly or professional. I enjoyed exploring the town on foot and although I was pleased to discover the 'Annandale Way', the route had a neglected feel, with some damaged sections of pathway. The hotel was comfortable for a short, random get-away with the family. The rooms were spacious enough, clean, and orderly. We rented 3 rooms in total, all very different, but quite a good mix for our group. There's no official parking, but we were able to park on the street (two cars) just next to the hotel no problem.
