Everything! We couldn't want more. Darren and Karen are extraordinarly kind and hospitable people - we felt very much welcome. Easy parking, large shower, very comfy bed, amazing breakfast and the view from the dining room is simply a miracle. Believe me, you want to stay there 🤍

We enjoyed everything, the village, the cottage, the welcome we received from all staff, the nice surroundings, the peace of the place. The cottage is super nice, we felt at home. The area is beautiful, we enjoyed every single minute of our 3 nights stay. The pool is also very nice and it adds to the overall experience, as we didn't find it easy to book a place with a swimming pool. In summer it must be gorgeous too, as there is a tennis court too. We rented the bikes as well, and we loved biking next to the loch. Stay there, you will not be disappointed, if you are looking for a relaxation, far from the crowds, while enjoying full and cozy comfort.

Wonderfully furnished and was tastes decorated. The HILLROOM is highly appealing, the bathroom too. It was a very warm welcome. It couldn’t have been better. We really felt at home. The best place to stay, with a terrific view to the sea side. This place and the caring owner is worth, even a long detour.

    Darren and Karen are wonderful hosts. The Old Cottage is a perfect place to stay to explore the area. Stunning location and fabulous accommodation! My room was very comfortable and spacious, and the bed was amazing! Excellent breakfast too! Everything about my stay was superb and I will be back. Highly recommend!

    Loads to see and do in the area for if you like the outdoors...

    Loads to see and do in the area for if you like the outdoors. Hill walking, water sports available. Loch Melfort Hotel is handy for good food and drink. Easy access to west coast and all its attractions.

    Very comfortable, nice room and en suite. Plenty of space.

    Very comfortable, nice room and en suite. Plenty of space. Easy to book a table for an evening meal at the nearby Hotel. The B&B breakfast next morning was great. Friendly hosts who helped all guests feel at home. Excellent supply of books and tourist info.
