I love this neck of the woods. Plenty to do if you are an outdoors person or just want a break from busy places. It is a nice laid back location where there is a lot less hassle. Lots of nice food places - either restaurants or take-aways and plenty of shops where you could buy your own food if you don't want to go out. Highly recommended. Good value, good breakfast choice and generous servings. Public rooms a little shabby, but bed and pillows very comfortable. Shower was good. Quiet after 10.30 which is good for a family hotel. Good facilities on site for children. More of a family resort than a couples resort, but different hotel options on the site would suit others. We went with grandchildren so fine for us. Lovely surrounding scenery, close to Aviemore train station and attractions in Aviemore. The house is a short walk from the centre of aviemore, which made life a bit easier. The host Jack was very accommodating and was very fast on replies for any questions we had!
