The village was clean and tidy and there is everything you need on your doorstep.We found the people really helpful and friendly.There is a lot too see and some great walks for all ages.We spent a lot of time on the beach and down at the harbour.We would recommend the Chinese takeaway it was really good and worth every penny.There is a lovely swing park for the kids with something for all ages.Avoch is easy to get round as everything is at hand,it is a great place and the scenery is spectacular.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 8.0
It's a beautiful village.
It's a beautiful village. We saw dolphins in the Moray Firth from the breakfast room at our B&B! The harbour is nice and an excellent dolphin boat trip leaves from there. The only downside was that there is no pub, and there aren't many taxi companies, which means one of you may end up as the designated driver a lot of the time.Guest review byJimbaliUnited Kingdom

The breakfast with freshly picked berries in yoghurt was just enjoyable. The villages of Avoch, Fortrose (note IV10 restaurant & coffee house) and Cromarty (dolphin watching) are near. The best thing though was the hospitality of our hosts Steve and Tuan. They also have their art gallery in the garden - worth of visiting. Sufficient amenities within walking distance and a lovely drive back towards Inverness for any supermarkets. We liked the spacious if slightly unusual layout of the Dolphin apartment and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for a 5 night stay. Parking practically outside the front door. Although Avoch is small, there are lovely take-away restaurants and a cafe within less than five mins walking distance.
