Don't shop for supplies before checking in. Host Averil is a delightful woman keen to provide a lovely, stress free stay. She also responds quickly to any communication. Tammie Norrie Cottage is amazing, very clean and comfortable. Comfy beds. Great location with sea views and a short walk across the playpark to the beach . The playpark is great for the little ones and because the location is not in town or residential area is not too busy but is open to the public. There is a wee shop on the caravan park that sells basic essentials in high season. The Premier shop in Whitehills has a small cafe and does home delivery of fresh home cooked food and groceries for a small £1.50 delivery charge. We had freshly cooked Scottish breakfast delivered piping hot on several days. Phone signal is patchy at times so if it is important to you then maybe this is not the right location. The area is notorious for poor signal but that didn't bother us in the slightest because there is good wifi.

We stayed in the gilmore suite for 2 nights. The view was stunning, the room was stunning and everything was overall stunning. We had a meal in the hotel as well and the meal was incredible. I had the steak and my partner had the mixed grill. It was cooked to perfection. Can't thank the staff enough for their warm welcome. Would stay here again.

Lovely village to visit.

Lovely village to visit. Nice escape from bigger city to small Scottish village. we did duff woodland walk, visit local beach, walk around the camper side to another village Whitehall, took us an hour there.

It's a quiet town with great local businesses.

It's a quiet town with great local businesses. Special mentions to Petal, a beautifully curated lifestyle store with nature books, wooden toys and homeopathic remedies; and The Cherry Tree cafe is easily recommended. Special mention to the Market Arms for the best pub dinners and wonderful staff (thank you Dion!).

I spent time in Banff, Macduff and Whitehills (nearest to...

I spent time in Banff, Macduff and Whitehills (nearest to the B and B) and found all three fascinating with a huge choice of places to eat. I can recommend Rock Fish chip shop, restaurant and takeaway in Whitehills and the Boyndie Visitor Centre for daytime meals, snacks and an all round great experience as they have gardens, a lovely shop and the food is excellent. Anywhere you go in this area, Cullen Skink (fish soup) is a must-try. There are beaches, walks and quaint harbours all around here, but the Boyndie Centre (about a mile inland from Whitehills) is definitely the first place I would take visitors. It's a friendly community enterprise and training facility, but with the quality and clued-up feel of a great place for locals and visitors alike.

Banff is a beautiful seaside town, with a lovely harbour and great views over to neighboring MacDuff. We had planned to visit historic Duff House, but unfortunately it was closed because of flooding... next time!
