The suite we got was fantastically comfortable and cosy. The vegan breakfast was delicious and also plentiful, which is just what you need for a long day exploring the estate. The staff are really friendly but also very professional. The location is very convenient for Chatsworth House (leave your car at the Inn and enjoy a leisurely 45-minute walk through the fields and along the riverbank).

One of the best places I have ever stayed at! Centrally located in the Peak District it is a perfect base from which to explore the whole area. The building, interiors and gardens are well kept, well decorated and exceptionally charming. The room was spacious and full if light. The food was of amazing quality and simply delicious. The staff were helpful, friendly and extremely attentive. You can tell everyone is working to make your stay as special as possible.

The hotel was immaculate, and we loved the added touches of the hot chocolate in out room as well as the tea and coffee machine .our room over looked the beautiful lake .The breakfast the following morning was very nice indeed.

Beautiful location! Only a couple minutes from Bakewell but so calm and peaceful. We had the best view of all the cows outside our room and the restaurant was great. I would definitely recommend this place as the perfect location in the peak district- close enough to town and for all the hiking you could want!

Everything was excellent however the one thing we missed was a lift as we had three heavy suitcases to take upstairs. We were aware of that when we booked and it would ruin the old hotel to do that and a young man helped us up with our cases. The atmosphere, room sizes, cleanliness, service and food were all excellent.

    Very comfortable. Great location. Pretty village with plenty of walks. Visited Haddon Hall and Chatsworth, both very close. Our dog was made very welcome. Food average but staff very friendly and efficient.

    Have a walk round the village .

    Have a walk round the village . Some hiking routes starting at top of the village. Very close to Chatsworth House . Matlock, Baslow and Bakewell not far away . Peak District offers so many things for a traveller looking for a relaxing weekend or a longer holiday. Stayed in Beeley Arms a few times the food is first class and sells some good quality beers and wines.
