Boat of Garten is a small village which has some good features and services, including a pub, a village store, pizza shop, art gallery and historic railway station. It is well located in relation to forest walks and other outdoor activities. For any significant shopping you needs to travel nearby Aviemore, 4.5 miles away. Boat of Garten is just a small village in the Scottish Highlands there is a nice little restaurant 50yds away which serves excellent meals and a carry out fresh made Pizza facility, there is also a nice hotel about 400m away which serves excellent meals, well situated for the Osprey viewing observatory, close to Landmark adventure park, and not far from Aviemore highland resort.Guest review byRoyUnited Kingdom - 10

The evening meals (for which you pay extra) used home-grown produce from the wonderful garden and were very good indeed! The hotel owner was very helpul and friendly and knows the local area very well so can give advice on where to go and what to do. Landmark adventure land which is just down the road was amazing, the kids loved it and plenty to do for adults too.
