The Highland getaway was amazing..very much 5 star.. had things we didn't think we needed! The attention to detail was above and beyond. Even dressing gowns and slippers. Beds were super comfy. Shower was powerfully and hot. And cooking facility was spot on. The kids loved the freedom of the park with forest walks across the road. And steam train within 5 mins walk.. no WiFi was not a problem for us. But there was no connection.

Everything seemed really new, or just very nice and clean! Very comfy, good wifi, great location in the Cairngorms, and we really liked that there was a fridge (not often seen in Scottish hotels for some reason).

The economy room was much better than we expected. It was spacious and comfortable so much nicer than many hotel rooms. The room was also lovely and warm and cosy. Alan in the restaurant was exceptional and went out of his way to assist us even though he was very busy.

Such a wonderful hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly and both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. The check-in process was very simple but be aware that you will need to carry your bags upstairs. We parked around the back with no problems. Old fashioned and really homely rooms.

    Boat of Garten is a small village which has some good features and services, including a pub, a village store, pizza shop, art gallery and historic railway station. It is well located in relation to forest walks and other outdoor activities. For any significant shopping you needs to travel nearby Aviemore, 4.5 miles away. We preferred the peace and quiet of Boat of Garten for our stay in the area.

    We stayed at the caravan on a self catering basis The caravan was very well equipped with all the necessary items needed for a short stay break The site was nice and quiet and situated within easy reach of the towns amenities and lovely rural walks Our break at Boat of Garten was only a few days long so we did not get much time to explore more of thd beautiful countryside

    Lovely little village, idyllic scenery.

    Lovely little village, idyllic scenery. Great location for nearby attractions and not as busy and touristy as nearby Aviemore. Next time I visit I will definitely consider again and stay a little longer to explore.

    Boat of Garten is just a small village in the Scottish Highlands there is a nice little restaurant 50yds away which serves excellent meals and a carry out fresh made Pizza facility, there is also a nice hotel about 400m away which serves excellent meals, well situated for the Osprey viewing observatory, close to Landmark adventure park, and not far from Aviemore highland resort.

    Owners where welcoming friendly the room was big and big bathroom with shower they supplied towels hair conditioner shampoo body wash a hair dryer there was coffee tea hot chocolate biscuits supplied by was adequate bedding n linen the breakfast was nice would go back if was in area

    Boat Country Inn is an excellent choice if you want to stay in a comfortable and pleasant environment. We were warmly welcomed at the hotel, the service was exceptional and very professional. Our room was spacious, spotless clean and had a nice view. The restaurant served very tasty food for both dinner and breakfast, we ordered different dishes and everything was very good. All the staff was efficient, kind and did their best so we could enjoy our stay.
