10 out of 10. The whole experience was fantastic especially since it was our Honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I mentioned when booking for a jug of dairy free milk, which we received in the room but also in a fridge which from my understanding not all rooms come with, again this was going above the call of duty. The room was amazing and cleaned to perfection. We ordered room service which again was second to none and when we dined at the on site restaurant again absolutely fantastic. We've already suggested that we will be coming back next year for our first anniversary.

Our stay at Linthwaite House was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the breathtaking landscape and peaceful atmosphere. The location offered the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility—close to the town and lake, yet surrounded by nature in a way that made us truly disconnect and unwind. The facilities were luxurious, and the kindness and professionalism of the staff exceeded every expectation. We instantly felt welcomed and at home. Dining at Henrock was a highlight—the food, service, and ambiance were mind-blowing, easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. We also enjoyed meals and drinks in the bar and conservatory, which were equally memorable. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated. What we loved most was the community feel of the hotel. It’s quiet, calming, and deeply connected to the natural beauty around it, yet it offers all the comfort and sophistication of a world-class boutique hotel. We left feeling completely refreshed and already dreaming about our next visit. Thank you to the entire team at Linthwaite House for an unforgettable stay.

I attended an afternoon tea birthday party and from the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional, friendly, down to earth and that was every single staff member. The grounds are beautiful and well worth exploring. I decided to stay the night rather than a long drive home in the evening and again, the room was perfectly presented with everything that I needed plus more. Cleanliness was superb and the view from the room was wonderful. Excellent shower.

I like everything! The hotel was modern and very clean. The room is quite small but was expected, since we were just staying for a night. I felt very lucky that we got the room thats facing the lake windermere. There a lot of choices for the breakfast well, we had a very filling breakfast. Even the breakfast place had a nice view of the lake! Location is 10/10 as well, we drove a car, but we parked in hotel first then walk to town because it was just a 5-10 walk to the center.

The hotel is very homely and welcoming from the off. The lovely open fire place gives a real sense of Home. The fact that we were traveling with a small dog did not bother the hotel, and Luna was allowed free rent of all facilities, except the leisure club and the restaurant.

The location was perfect to access our tours, restaurants and pubs. We liked being a little walk out of the town as it was very busy in the town during our visit. We both enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the selection of hot breakfasts. The room was comfortable and had all we needed. The staff were very friendly and one particular lady remembered we liked being by the window to watch the birds and made sure we sat there for breakfast.

We enjoyed walking around the town, despite the rain. Car parking was expensive and it was busy, despite being term time. We had a delicious breakfast at a cafe over a bakery. We loved sitting at the lakeside watching the boats.

Bowness is a fabulous base to sightseeing from. It's a lovely little area of the Lake District. Very busy at times and too much traffic and not enough parking spaces. Best to get there early if you need to park. Lots of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. Sunday market. Lots to see and do.

This is the third time I have been back to Bowness this year. I love the art shops, the clothes shops and most importantly the home made fudge. So relaxing watching the boats on the lake and geting the ferry to the other side to walk up to Hill Top. It was a struggle to get my grandaughter away from the Beatrix Potter museum.

Second stay for us ,last time we stayed was November 2021, so we knew what we were booking before arrival. Location is very good being at the quieter end of town less than 20 yards from the bus stop . Close enough to everything Bowness on Windermere has to offer with shops and restaurants literally on the doorstep.
