The Struan House looks magical, like an old castel. I liked the "old fashion" b&b feel, with the host welcoming you and showing you to your room, and in the morning serving a proper breakfast. The room is nicely decorated and cosy. And the location is great, right in the centre of town.

Seatown is unique in my experience. No house seems the same and there are house numbers but no street names! 83 is an exceptional property. We went as a couple, and only used the ground floor, it could accommodate four more in comfort. The cottage is extremely well equipped and we liked the welcomed pack. The furniture and décor are of a very high standard. The rooms are very spacious, having a lounge, dining room and a full bathroom suite. The bedrooms are all lovely, the downstairs one was our choice. We would happily visit this property and Cullen again.

I found it very peaceful area, away from noise of cities. Plenty of beaches around and other interesting attractions. There is a dolphins centre which is great for a family outing. If you are after nature and tranquility but don't want to stay far away from Inverness, it's a good spot.

Ready access to the beach and all other coastal villages each with their own unique charm and character. Friendly people and superb local cuisine. With regard to eating out, there was a limited choice of places to eat in Buckie itself after 7pm. I would say that Struan house is the best hotel in Buckie and that my complimentary review probably mirrors the thoughts of many others who have stayed there.

Its a fascinating area and am sure if staying in the right accommodation would make a very good centre. We ate at the Seafield Hotel which was very pleasant and in other towns and villages as we were visiting the Portsoy Boat Festival, Banff, Spey Bay and Lossiemouth. Many interesting coastal places and beaches and walks and places of interest e.g. museums.

Findotchy is lovely, beautiful Cullen is near by, great...

Findotchy is lovely, beautiful Cullen is near by, great cycling routes and many lovely attractions in the vicinity. Buckie itself is less attractive. Picturesque landscape and castles, Buckie is good for shopping with several supermarkets. Overall a very good destination for an active vacation.

Nice little town, and very close to points of interest - it...

Nice little town, and very close to points of interest - it was less than a 20 minute drive away from the Scottish Dolphin centre where we saw dolphins playing in the sea, and we were also able to drive through to Elgin easily and see the cathedral, which was really interesting. We ate in a lovely Chinese and Japanese restaurant in Buckie (Magic Kitchen), and then a great little cafe for breakfast (Le Cafe Coull), both within 5 minutes walk of the hotel.

Portgordon and the surrounding fishing villages have...

Portgordon and the surrounding fishing villages have Beautiful scenery & are very quiet. Nowhere to go out to eat but the cottage was well equipped for self catering and the town of Buckie had good food shops.
