The town has a little bit of everything from a bustling town centre, small museum, great bookstores , a great choice and variety of cafes and pubs. The nearby country walks across beautiful Cotswold countryside also provides you with exercise and fresh air. Clarkson’s pub-The Farmer’s Dog-is within busing or walking distance. There are many other pubs worth visiting nearby as well-many providing delicious and nutritious meals. We really enjoyed our visit and would come again.Guest review byJayneCanada - 10.0

Burford is/was a quaint village.
Burford is/was a quaint village. Beautiful buildings at every turn. Stunning old church. Nice individual shops on either side of High Street, all very old and quirky. But beware the Brush Shop - very rude lady working there. However, we think Burford is the author of its own demise really, as it so very busy, especially the High Street and I have to say that some of those in vehicles were less than respectful of the pedestrians - and the drivers seemed local. Lovely town with some great shops.
Lovely town with some great shops. On street parking available free for 2 hrs. A lot of traffic in the main street. Being in the main built of Cotswold stone the town looks beautiful with many old buildings. It is built on a hill down to the Windrush so some level of fitness is required. Pretty picturesque Cotswold town, a High Street with independent shops and a couple of pubs and restaurants. The High Street is very quiet of an evening even at 8pm on a summers evening, not much open mid week. We ate at The Farmers Dog, (Jeremy Clarkson's pub) we booked the hotel as location fairly near that pub, we cabbed it there and back to Burford.Guest review byTERRYUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely town, a bit busy so plan on seeing other area towns and sites. We recommend getting a car at Heathrow and driving. Not too hard but get a good map. Antique stores, Boot Sales, Sudely Castle and just scenic countryside.Guest review byAnonymous

We had dinner 1 night & the meal was great. We parked for free in the pubs back yard, but got lucky as spaces are limited ( there are other options close by). Our room in the eaves of the main pub building was old style but much larger than we expected & contained a lounge area & large bathroom.
