Everywhere was well kept, no litter anywhere. People seemed to be very happy. The Railway Museum needs more signage ! Didcot is a handy location and relatively close to Oxford. It has a good range of shops as well as places to eat and a cinema. There are also lots of parks and some areas to walk. Great to sit out on the veranda drinking sangria after dinner. Only five minutes walk to Indian and Chinese takeout. Ten minutes walk to Sainsbury’s local. Surrounded by nice mature trees even saw a pair of Red Kites hovering over head. Not far off main road yet had a really quiet and dark nights sleep. We visited for a two night stay for a family occasion. The house is situated in a quiet residential area with an easy walking route to the town centre and railway station or for those less mobile there are taxis available. There is a decent sized swimming pool and the breakfast is excellent. When we were there there were several Christmas parties on and in the morning the reastaurant was completely full.
