I am sorry the area was awful it was above an Indian restaurant and the corridor we had to go through was full of household rubbish and bags that were leaking the stairs were covered in grime and I have already reported on the inadequacies of the room I am trying to get a rebate but I will continue to post negative feedback until somebody contacts me with the view to sorting this out

No idea what the town is like as this was just a convenient overnight stay en route between Bournemouth and Oban. We only visited a local supermarket for fuel: Dumbarton had the best fuel prices seen on our whole trip though.

The town itself is looking a bit run down but efforts are being made to improve it. St Augustine's Episcopal Church is beautiful and is where Charles Rennie MacKintosh was married in 1900. We haven't visited the Rock nor the Maritime Museum but intend doing so sometimg.

Nice cosy flat with everything you need, situated in a nice area of Dumbarton 15 min walk into town, went for a hike up Ben lomond and seen the sights all around Loch Lomond it’s a great location to base yourself for these activities and really is a lovely part of Scotland, great value also for these activities extra space you miss out on staying in a hotel, would highly recommend this stay it was perfect.

The rooms are spacious and come with a private bathroom. The breakfast offers great value for money. The staff is friendly and helpful – even a late check-in on very short notice was no problem at all. The hotel is close to the Loch Lomond National Park and a fifteen minutes walk from the train stationen Dumbarton East.

House was comfortable. The view towards the castle mount and the Clyde River was lovely. We used Scotrail from Dumbarton station into Glasgow centre. Free parking near the station and only £6 return. Would have explored more by train if we had stayed longer.
