The sevice was great. The staff was very helpful. The building has character. The location is great. To have the bar and restaurant inside is very convenient. It was very quiet. The luggage was offered to be carried upstairs for me without having to ask. There was always free bottled water in the room which was replenished every day. My room was made every day and the used towels replaced. The shower was small but the shower head and the flow of water was great.

The hotel was great, a bit confusing as we entered from the back of the hotel where the car park is but staff quickly directed us to the reception and we were booked in very quickly, we also asked for a hairdryer and iron and both items were brought to us within minutes, staff all very friendly, we had dinner in the bar which was lovely and good value as well

For history buffs, Dunfermline is a must visit location.

For history buffs, Dunfermline is a must visit location. The Abbey is the resting place for Robert the Bruce and really is the location for the early history of Scotland with Margaret, David and William Wallace. Recommend visiting early in your historical journey through Scotland or last as we did to complete your understanding of Scottish history. The town is nice, too. Plenty of restaurants. Easy to navigate. Great place to stay the night before your flight from EDI.

Dunfermline has so much to offer people of any age.

Dunfermline has so much to offer people of any age. Its location, within easy distance of Edinburgh but near to many beautiful and historic coastal towns, villages and beaches, is ideal. Great public transport links to all of these. But Dunfermline itself has lots to see and do so don't miss the palace, the abbey, and Pittencrieff Park and its children's play park (just for starters). We were there on beautiful sunny day and we could have stayed for much longer. All of this was free of charge, which, on a trip with children is a bit of a bonus. There are good shops in town too, albeit the usual suspects. There may be some great independents but we weren't shopping and didn't notice. We didn't eat in town but there seemed to be lots of places from which to choose.

A great smaller city with much to see, especially the Abbey and birthplace/museum of Andrew Carnegie. There is an amazing Tiffany stained glass window in the Abbey - well worth a view. And the Pittencrieff Park is also great for a stroll with a grand view. The Granary restaurant in the library is very good for interesting food at low prices.

This is a dog friendly hotel in a superb location on the village green of this attractive village with lovely views of the Firth of Forth and a few minutes drive from Dunfermline. We stayed for 3 nights in one of their glamping pods which was clean and comfortable. The pods look fairly new, but I do wonder how well they will wear. We had to leave early on the first morning and were provided with excellent sandwiches to take away in lieu of breakfast. The menu was good and the food was ok

We were only staying 1 night in Edinburgh to collect a friend coming in on an early morning flight, so we weren't really focusing too much on the location. However Dunfermline was an unexpected pleasure as we discovered the Abbey and had a lovely morning exploring around there. The hotel kindly let us delay checkout by an hour, so our friend could get an extra hour of sleep. They were all very pleasant and helpful. Not many hotels offer rooms with 3 beds - so this was a great find for us.

My partner and myself travel extensively for work and I have to say that this has to rank in my top hotels. The staff were the best i have come across by far. The room was spacious and cleaned to a very high standard. The breakfast was a total delight. My compliments to the city hotel and more importantly the staff who play such a important roll within any successful business.

Stayed on a girls trip. Explored the surrounding are of Dunfermline then had a very quiet night in the hotel room at night and a perfect night's sleep. We had breakfast in the morning downstairs in the cafe restaurant which gets really really busy with a queue outside. We will definitely return.
