People were friendly. Weather was spectacular. Weatherspoons is a great choice. Go to Moon under the water its excellent. Best fish and chips George's near the station. Pearson store very old but amazing. Marks and Spencer's our favourite. If you travel to London buy a day pass. I was born in Bush Hill Park and only emigrated with my family to Southern Rhodesia in 1954. Enfield Town is a lovely place to visit with Forty Hall just up the road, the Town Park etc. The rail network to London via Overground from Enfield Town to Liverpool St. London, or Underground from Oakwood straight through to Heathrow airport is really good.Guest review bykenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was great to visit London, but stay out of the city. Gentlemans Row is a beautiful area. We visited Forty Hall in Enfeild, but used our accommodation as a base for going into the city too. As a former inhabitant, I can say that Enfield is a surprisingly underrated area both for a visit and as a stop over. There are a number of decent places to visit within the borough, roads and parking are generally pretty decent throughout. It used to have a serious, market town. vibe but is much more cosmopolitan nowadays and seems to have a good variety of late night supermarkets and some decent places to eat. Can’t speak for nightlife unfortunately-wrong age group (🙄) What’s often overlooked however, it’s it’s fantastic location - right on the edge of the countryside, but with great travel links not just into central London shops and stations, plus Heathrow, but also out to Hertfordshire and beyond. Train Station is 15 min walk away. Shop is 10 min walk away. Full facilities in the House. We flew into Stansted Airport and the Train from the Airport will leave you less than 2 miles from the house. Also, we travelled to White Hart Lane twice which is 10 mins away on the Train from Turkey Street Station. The same Train line will bring you to Liverpool St in London. The building is very near (5 minute walk) to Enfield Town railway station, which is very well connected to London. Just a few stations from Enfield Town there is the Tottnham Hotspur Stadium, so the apartment is perfect if someone has to attend an event there.
