I had previously stayed and found it superior to most hotels I’ve stayed in and quite reasonably priced. But it’s the staff that make every visit so pleasant. I spoke to a lovely lady on reception Polly, who immediately remembered I had been before and said she noticed I had booked for May also, my Grandsons birthday. When we arrived she had upgraded us to a family room. It’s these personal touches that will keep me coming back.

A beautiful, historic building of stunning architecture. Despite it being a chilly day and the property being enormous, it was lovely and warm inside. The room was large, beautifully furnished and comfortable. All the staff was friendly, helpful and efficient I couldn’t fault our stay and can not understand the negative reviews I read prior to our stay. The food was excellent, we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner and all were of a really high quality. I also enjoyed a wonderful massage with Connie who was lovely.

Staff on Reception was fabulous. responsive, understanding, helped with any question.Room was very tidy, very comfy bedding, all clean and fresh,the window from the room was overlooking on a field where very beautiful cows were grazing with amazing sunset.
