A wonderful place, tastefully renovated property with bonus Highland Coos. Our rooms were upgraded and we really appreciated having washing facilities two weeks into our road trip. Excellent three course dinner and breakfast on lovely dining area. I would highly recommend.

The room is exactly what you see in the photos. Nice quite location: 1min walk from Avoch waterfront, less than 20min drive from Inverness and Dingwall, which will have all the facilities you may need: shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. Nearby, there's also a small co-op at the top of the street (3min walk from the room) and a lovely Indian take-away (Gaby's). Parking available a minute away from the room. Bedding and towels provided.

What a beautiful part of Scotland!

What a beautiful part of Scotland! It was both relaxing and peaceful. There were different things you could do and fantastic places to eat and grab a drink. The dolphin watching was also very fun and different. Crofter’s was one of our favorite food places. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.

Lovely little village with beautiful cathedral, shops, cafes, bakeries, butcher etc. Close to neighbouring village of Rosemarkie and beautiful beach and walks. Looks across Moray Firth to Ardersier and Fort George.

Not the best Closures due to Covid

Not the best Closures due to Covid Main road noisy and polluted Restaurant noisy opposite Fortress Harbour nice and around Cathedral but otherwise not the best Too far to walk to Canonry Point but by car you face parking charges Not our first visit but last in Fortrose Post Office sells lovely gifts

Fortrose is a beautiful village with historic buildings and the main attraction is the opportunity to spot dolphins at Chanonry Point. There are pubs and restaurants as well as the beach at Rosemarkie within walking distance of the village.

The location was great, the room just the right size, with a lovely big window and comfortable bed. Some of the decor was a bit old maybe but everything worked well and the shower was surprisingly good. It was wonderful to find such a genuinely dog-friendly hotel too, and they really made a fuss of our dog. The food in the evening was good and the breakfast was excellent. Great price for everything and we'd definitely come back here to stay if we were in the area.

Steven and Fiona make you feel very welcome and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. The location is fantastic, making you feel like you are deep in the middle of the countryside when in actual fact Fortrose town is just 5 mins down the hill. Their lovable Jack Russell dog Broxy is really friendly and the rooms are very cosy and spotlessly clean. We would stay in Hillhaven, when visiting the area again, for sure!

The room was comfortable and tastefully decorated looking out on the beautiful garden. The hosts Guthrie and Horst were very helpful,friendly and interesting to talk to. Close to the golf club for great meals and a gorgeous beach walk to the dolphins at Chanonry Point. Fortrose has a couple of delicious bakeries. Just a wonderful experience overall.

Fortrose and Rosemarkie are great little villages to go and relax and go for slow walks along the beach, the hosts of the accommodation had thought of everything and even left a little dram for me on my arrival. The location is right in the centre of fortrose with shops and bakery nearby.
