A wonderful place, tastefully renovated property with bonus Highland Coos. Our rooms were upgraded and we really appreciated having washing facilities two weeks into our road trip. Excellent three course dinner and breakfast on lovely dining area. I would highly recommend.

The place was lovely, the host even more so. The house is kept wonderfully well. It offers all the luxuries one can hope for from a lovely aunt's house where you go for the holidays and get spoiled and cared for over and over again. Helen, the host, was super nice: available practically 24/7, ready to help you in any way she thinks of and great with tips on where to go and where to eat. We will definitely go back and we have already started telling friends and sharing fotos!

What a beautiful part of Scotland!

What a beautiful part of Scotland! It was both relaxing and peaceful. There were different things you could do and fantastic places to eat and grab a drink. The dolphin watching was also very fun and different. Crofter’s was one of our favorite food places. Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.

Lovely little village with beautiful cathedral, shops, cafes, bakeries, butcher etc. Close to neighbouring village of Rosemarkie and beautiful beach and walks. Looks across Moray Firth to Ardersier and Fort George.

Not the best Closures due to Covid

Not the best Closures due to Covid Main road noisy and polluted Restaurant noisy opposite Fortress Harbour nice and around Cathedral but otherwise not the best Too far to walk to Canonry Point but by car you face parking charges Not our first visit but last in Fortrose Post Office sells lovely gifts

Fortrose is a beautiful village with historic buildings and the main attraction is the opportunity to spot dolphins at Chanonry Point. There are pubs and restaurants as well as the beach at Rosemarkie within walking distance of the village.

Everything. The beds and bedding, towels are gorgeous, fluffy and washed like you would at home. Not that harsh starch stiff hotel stuff ive experienced. Breakfast was delicious Steven and fiona are amazing hosts. Fortrose and Rosemarkie are great little villages to go and relax and go for slow walks along the beach, the hosts of the accommodation had thought of everything and even left a little dram for me on my arrival. The location is right in the centre of fortrose with shops and bakery nearby.

There was a hairdryer in my room. Bed a standard double. Breakfast good. Staff good. Well-stocked whisky and beer bar (NB no cider). Hotel characterful. Unloading/loading of luggage was possible right outside but parking is just across the road (at the cathedral). Quiet location.

It was a fantastic location with views across the Moray Firth. Fortrose was a lovely settlement and close to Chanonry point for dolphin watching. Upstairs was beautifully light and airy.
