Guisborough was a prime location and home base to visit the Moors, Dales, Whitby, York, Staithes. Saltburn by the Sea, etc. The people were very friendly and the town had lovely tea rooms and cafes . Lovely little place with plenty of shops, cafe, restaurants and bars. Guisborough priory is free and well worth a look around we enjoyed reading the history of the place. We went into a pub over the road from the priory called the monk, they had a glass floor where the monks used the tunnel to sneak out of the priory. Lovely coffee shop koslieng with great pastries and coffee. The breakfast was unreal so much choice and all hot food cooked to order. Just a 10 minute walk in to guisborough itself to.
