Beautiful room separate from The Brough in the town house , we had room 10 which was a small suite with sitting area and even an outside seating area .. sadly we didn't spend much time in the room as we were on a tight schedule .. we managed the for breakfast though and it was delicious . Staff were lovely and very helpful ..

I havent seen in any hotel that puts earplugs on beds head side. It is very good idea in case anyone snores in the room. I like this while I stayed with my son who hates my snoring a lot.

Lovely spacious rooms. The pool is great and the staff are really friendly although I feel it should have been re-tiled it's now like lino and it's lifting up already and looks badly finished off around the edges. Love that dogs are welcome.

There seems to be a lot going on in Lancaster ie a Jazz Festuival and Films to watch at the Duke's Theatre. A Really a nice break for me as I am a film and music buff. This was my 2nd stay over this Summer and Autumn at the University this and once again the Bus Service was good and this helped me get about. I would recommend a meal at The Pendel Witch Pub very reasonable cost and helpful staff.

Our comfortable accommodation was in an ideal location, just 10 mins walk from the city centre and beautiful sights of Lancaster - we visited the prison and castle and thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour (inexpensive) - would recommend this - there was also a 'Choclatiere' in the grounds, the choclates we bought were so refined and tasted delectable. We also visited the cathedral (free to enter), what a beautiful building with spectactular architecture inside and out. There are a couple of museums, well worth a visit - and while we were there, there was a food festival held on Sunday 10th August, we bought some of the fresh bakes and some cultural foods - we couldn't compliment them enough - so many food aromas, feel hungry now thinking about what we didn't get to taste. We visited Friday to Sunday but could have stayed an extra night or two as there are lots of places to shop and restaurants to eat in, not forgetting the delicious food, the many pubs have to offer. Would definitely visit again.

Lancaster has an exciting and welcoming feel with the bus station so well planned with really helpful staff who are there to guide and keep you right as you travel from Lancaster. The Duke's Theatre was my base where you could sit and plan your day over tea, cake, coffee. It hosts a cinema showing alternative films each day and I noticed an open air cinema at Williamson Park for those seeking al fresco summer events. I found a great pub 'Pendel Witch' serving a variety of Beers and Ales and a substanial evening meal at a reasonable cost. I look forward very much to returning to a chaming city with a thriving high street inviting the solo traveller like myself seeking a change from a particular everyday routine and working life.

The place was compact, clean, well-maintained and is in an excellent location. The city centre, the castle, eateries, and stores are just a minute away literally. Loved the ambience. The property owner Mr.Joe was very helpful. The laundry that's next to the property is relatively cheaper but is a good addition. I would have preferred to stay here for the whole duration of my visit to Lancaster if not for the unavailability of rooms. If I am ever visiting again, this is going to be the first on my list. Joe - Good work.

I use Lancaster University Guest Rooms when I pick up my son from uni. As they are on-campus they are VERY convenient, and whilst they are basic they are also very cheap, which is the main attraction. Functional, and the check-in and out system is straight forward. We have also used these rooms for short Lake Distric breaks. The southern Lakes are only 45 mins away by car and the accommodation is so much cheaper than Ambleside hotels!

The hotel is situated in a country setting, yet only 10 minutes away from Lancaster City by car. Located by the River Lune Coastal path, area of scientific imporetance. Staff were welcoming and could not do enough to help me. My room was clean and comfortable and had a fabulous shower. Food was generally of a good standard. The bar had well stocked wines and ales with a lovely atmosphere.
