The place was quaint, and ideal for somewhere to stay for a few days. It has everything you need for a comfortable getaway. We would return, no problem. Already we are telling our friends about the location and how we enjoyed our stay. It was very clean, and had everything we needed.

Service was excellent, both as an overnight guest and as a member of a large dinner party. Food was also excellent, all our party agreed. I had pork belly, duck and creme brulee... The room was very nicely decorated, warm and clean. The ensuite shower room was warm, big towels and enough of the usual supplies. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruit teas, biscuits, milk in the cutest bottles, couldn't have done more. Breakfast was good, the service excellent and the choice unlimited. I would highly recommend The Courthouse for dinner or overnight stay.

The breakfast was superb we got a discount as a Black Friday so definitely worth the money. The hotel was decorated for Christmas and looked lovely. The staff very friendly, and the room was very small with only 1 chair but at the price I paid it of £55.30 was very reasonable.

We stayed at Orchard View Retreat as it was convenient to...

We stayed at Orchard View Retreat as it was convenient to all the areas we needed to visit for our house hunting trip. The caravan was clean and tidy but could do with an update along with a different shower head. Very comfortable. And has games, for the kids and family. The enclosed area was great for my German shepherd and the view over the fields were fantastic with some beautiful sunsets. It is a quiet, relaxing and peaceful. It’s a great location to access all the beaches, which are Frinton, Walton, Holland and Clacton. There is a great Chinese takeaway called Amber, a good Indian called Saffron (advise to book). There is a Tesco Express close by and a 5 min drive to Brook Retail Park where there is a large Tesco, Lidl, pets at home, M&S and more. Lucie the host is a lovely, helpful warm person. We would definitely stay there again if needed.

Nice and quiet. Perfect for a short break. The accommodation was clean and fresh. Nice little touches. Lovely I closed garden for the dogs. The owners even put up birthday banners and left a birthday card and a bottle of fizz for my partners birthday. The beach is lovely mostly sand. Our dogs loved it

Beautiful, clean and comfortable caravan. We were lucky with the weather and would have loved to have chairs and table to sit and eat outside but this didn’t spoil our stay. On site amenities very good but pool costs extra which we hadn’t realized. Bring something to cut up and peel vegetables as only one bread knife. Thank you so much for a comfortable stay and a huge thank you to the cleaners who got our passports and holiday tickets back to us safely

It was so relaxing,Barnfields is certainly the place to go if you want a relaxing holiday,also some nice restaurants not to far away ,but it’s certainly a lot to do with John and Liz ,we didn’t want to leave,it makes your holiday if the staff or owners are nice,,

Perfect spot, tucked out the way.

Perfect spot, tucked out the way. Quiet but close enough to Clacton to go there for a day out and a couple of other local attractions we wanted to see. Hot tub is in a lovely spot overlooking fields and woods. Nice secluded area for BBQ and fire pit too. Hosts are helpful and communicative and have a nicely thought out way to let you get in without breaking social distancing.

We, this is me and my two dogs staying at the Orchard View...

We, this is me and my two dogs staying at the Orchard View Retreat close to Little Clacton. The caravan was spacious, clean and simply very nice. All equipment you might need was there. The bed was a dream - I plan to get the same mattress for my home. The garden was a delight for me and my dogs - close by is even a meadow which is naturally fenced in by bushes meaning my dogs could run freely. There are some footpaths around to enjoy circuit walks. The sandy Naze Beach is a 20 minutes car drive - dog friendly and wonderfully clean. A walk around the nature reservoir can be added. Within a mile walk, there is a nice pub. I personally also loved especially the wonderful views from the lounge/garden. Lucie and Dean were very helpful and lovely hosts. A wonderful place to relax, to hike, to visit beaches and surrounding areas, Highly recommended.
