It's like visiting old friends, very warm welcome and helpful information for food places, road trips and more. Bikes parked in the shed and hosed down like the horses before. Excellent breakfast made to order.

Everything. It was exceptional. Roger and Katie could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Roger welcomed us with a cuppa and some freshly baked lemon drizzle cake. Which was brilliant after a long day out. We weren't there long enough and we were very sad to leave so soon. We will be back again and will request our breakfast to be served outside ☺️

I can't rate Heidi or the facilities highly enough. It really felt like a home away from home. The room was comfortable and the house is lovely, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was also amazing, great little touches like fruit in the room and bath salts. Communication was also second to none. I'll definitely be booking with Heidi again at Northampton House, I've already reserved my next stay.

The host, Sarah, was amazing. She popped up shortly after arriving to ensure everything was OK and to show me around. The views are stunning, and the camp spot was perfect. I was there for 1 night but could have stayed longer.

Great outdoor pursuit location.

Great outdoor pursuit location. Ate at the hotel and the food was superb. Absolutely drenched from walking in the adverse weather and the local customers in the bar made room to get us by the log fire in the bar. Local customers were very friendly and chatty, simply, a great place to stay. Granted, not a plush hotel, dated tbh, but warm, clean and this added to the charm

The scenery is superb.

The scenery is superb. We were there for a wedding, so didn't have time to explore much except for driving over the Beacons to and from the place. It is well worth stopping the car to admire the vistas. Oh, yes. Mind the freely roaming sheep!

The smallest town in Wales obviously doesn’t have the...

The smallest town in Wales obviously doesn’t have the amenities of a larger town but it is a good base to tour the surrounding area. 3 pubs and a restaurant take care of evening meals and it’s not too far to a couple of larger towns if you can’t find what you want there.

Quaint village with a few shops, pubs and restaurants. Nice walks around the village including a lovely park a few minutes walk along the high street. Beautiful views and an excellent location to base yourself if you want to explore the area.

Wonderful tiny town with welcoming locals.

Wonderful tiny town with welcoming locals. Beautiful area for walks and hike.Nice food places, ATM, small grocery shop and definitely visit Stonecroft Inn - they have 2 lovely dogs and loads of birds in the garden. Pete is wonderful host there.

This Hotel is over 100 years old. It has character and a sense of total relaxation. If you want a modern bright hotel with no personality don’t go. Staff are very friendly, the owners are on sight again made you feel very welcome. All food seemed to be homemade. Me and my brother stayed there and we both agreed the food was excellent. Breakfast made to order every morning. Again the best quality rasher sausage etc. I would totally recommend this place. I don’t often do reviews but they deserve good feedback.

Beautiful period property with lots of original features and lovely furniture. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. Excellent breakfast filled us up for the day. The afternoon cake and coffee were just what we needed on arrival. Roger and Katie are wonderful hosts and they both ensured we had a great stay. Lovely quiet location only a short drive to a variety of places to visit. A short walk to nearby shops, pubs and restaurants as well as the local station.

The whole place was beautifully presented and the room had a fabulous view with window seats. It was such a relaxing venue! The welcome was great and the breakfast delicious and very filling. Llanwrtyd Wells is a fascinating town and well worth a visit - we have driven through for over 20 years and this is the first time we have stopped, but we will be back! It is also worth the short drive down the road to the forest trails (brown sign in town)
