We had a lovely over night stay the room was well thought out and inviting from opening the door the room smelled good bed was so comfy did not want to get out of it. Food was amazing evening meal and breakfast. Staff was so help full on the ball with everything. Bar was well stocked. Amazing.

we were booked into this hotel but due to a problem there we were moved to a sister hotel with a upgrade . on our drive to the hotel the Owner phoned to see what time we were due to arrive , as it was getting late the owner read us the menu so we would not miss dinner . Fantastic service ! My partner and my self were more than happy with our room and the dinner was great . I would like to thank the Owner and friendly staff for a great stay , we would both book here again .

We joined the local church for their Easter Sunday service and had a great welcome - they were even offering breakfast snacks and hot drinks! The area was safe and quiet. We didn't use any of the local eateries though.

The Lockerbie entry is accompanied by a picture of Caerlaverock castle. You need to be aware that this castle is about an hour's drive away. There are less-well-preserved ruins of castles much closer to Lockerbie, a small market town with a few shops, a couple of pubs, several takeaways, and a supermarket.

We did a stopover on way to north Scotland.

We did a stopover on way to north Scotland. Beautiful quaint town. Stayed at the peaceful Mansefield and did a 2 min walk into town centre. Had delicious diner at Just Be. Visited the Garden of Remembrance, which was very sobering and just a reminder of how this beautiful peaceful town was rocked by an awful tragedy that echoed the worst of humanity. A town that will always be remembered for the Pan Am bomb, but that actually is so much more than that. Easy links by train. Too short a stopover as quite a lot to do in the area

As I was only there for work, it would be difficult to comment too much on the town itself as I didn't get a chance to see too much of it, although the areas I did see were lovely. However it appears a good base for exploring the South West of Scotland, with good rail and motorway links

I arrived late afternoon and went for a run.

I arrived late afternoon and went for a run. Didn't have a lot of time to explore. Will be back. The people I met were friendly and kind. This day we saved a dog 🐕 from being run down. He had run away or been abandoned and was running harem scare. So myself and the town dwellers all came together to help the dog. Well done this community spirit!

We took 3 rooms and all were excellent . The bed was made with dazzling white sheets and duvet. It was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating even ran one of us to collect her car. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. From full Scottish to continental , take your pick. I had been before so it seems they continue with the first class service. It will be our go to place whenever we are in Lockerbie. X

Lovely little overnight stay in Lockerbie on the way back down to Yorkshire from our family visit on the Black Isle, Mansfield Rooms booked on trip adviser, price was £115 including a full breakfast ( mine GFree and expertly done by Jo the proprietor) Would definitely recommend.
