Walsh's hotel was lovely.
Walsh's hotel was lovely. The people we met in Maghera were lovely and very helpful and gave a very positive impression of the place. Maghera is located near the centre of the province of Ulster and therefore is an ideal location to explore anywhere. There is a great bus service to both derry and belfast if you want to use public transport. Maghera is a vibrant , well kept small town in the Derry countryside - at present there is some of the footpaths dug up as the town is getting some renovations completed but this did not cause us any disruption.Guest review bymartin jIreland - 8.0

Interesting town with a variety of shops including very well stocked furniture shop. A local supermarket is great shop too. Then a few miles out there is a lovely wooded area with walks. Local folk are so welcoming and friendly.Guest review byAndrea - 10.0
The town was bigger and with more to it than we expected.
The town was bigger and with more to it than we expected. Quite a few take-aways and pubs. The centre itself could be busy with traffic, but parking is free. Good walks around the town also. Couple of small supermarkets alsoGuest review byronUnited Kingdom
