The host offered us an early check-in. The host kept in touch as we were coming for a late check-in, and was super friendly. The rooms are clean and feel like home. The house was super clean and well-maintained. Has a modern vibe, and all the information is written. It was a lovely stay. There was a complimentary gift pack from the host with a handwritten note, snacks, and wine. It was a nice surprise. We enjoyed our stay. And if you are catching the ferry to the Isle of Skye, the port is 5 minutes away. There were several books and board games, which would be ideal for staying a couple of days together with family or friends. Will come back again.

First of all, the location of the The Inn @ Aird a' Bhasair is idyllic and beautiful. The staff were very welcoming on our arrival and went out of their way to help us to the room allocated for our stay. The room itself was very comfortable and contained all of the services we could have asked for and was very quiet, which was to our liking. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food was of the highest order and the service was excellent. Likewise, breakfast was superb, with a very wide selection to choose from and all we selected was delicious. We cannot speak too highly of The Inn @ Aird a' Bhasair. We wished we had booked a longer stay at the hotel and toured the area for a little longer than we had planned.

Great place to take a break when you are visiting the Highlands and Islands! Mallaig is a port town and a gateway to do many other places. The accommodation at An Bothan was excellent. Home from home with so many special touches from the owners to make the stay even more comfortable. We would highly recommend it if you are looking for a short or longer stay in Mallaig.

Small town with some good restaurants but limited entertainment. Worth a couple of nights or longer if using it as a base. Try The Bakehouse and The Crab and Creel. Don't park for more than an hour outside the Co-Op

Mallaig is a small port town with an interesting history. The Mallaig Historical Centre is worth a visit to learn about the story and people behind the town. There are quite a few fabulous cafes and restaurants specialising in fresh fish and home baking. There is a lot of Harry Potter tourists due to the train and viaduct, but this does not distract too much from the enjoyment of a visit.

Mallaig is an active, attractive, village with trains from Fort William and ferries out to the islands and other peninsulas. There are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants with hotels and B&Bs. The location is stunning with gorgeous views of the beasutiful coast and islands. Lots to do and a fun, friendly place to stay.

We had a wee day in the town with gift shops etc, a trip to Skye the next but would have liked to take more boat trip if we'd been there longer. The shops and things closed quite early and as we had kids with us not sure if there's any "nightlife"

I felt that everyone we came across was out to give us a wonderful holiday. The Bake house is a must . Their Portuguese tarts and pecan/ maple buns are delicious. Coffee 5* The trip to Knydart from Mallaig was enhanced by the crew . They were so knowledgable about the area and shared it with us.

The holiday home is absolutely amazing. Very clean and modern furniture. The beds are very comfortable. Modern clean bathroom. Kitchen and lounge great and well furnished. Beautiful views from lounge, We enjoyed watching ferries coming and going from harbour from the lounge area. The hosts had left breakfast for us in the morning such as bacon.eggs, rolls, milk tea bags and lovely tea cakes and cookies. We had a lovely time. Mallaig is beautiful. Grace definitely went the extra mile as a host, from the fresh flowers, over the available coffee to the cheddar cheese cookies. The place was clean, comfortable and had everything you need available. There are many excellent restaurants available in Mallaig itself and the ferry to Armadale makes visits to Skye really easy (tip: rent a car from Driveskye in Armadale to explore Skye).

Excellent accommodation right in the centre of Mallaig. Spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped for self-catering. Sharon is an outstanding host—nothing is ever too much trouble. We are especially grateful for her kindness and support when our holiday plans were disrupted by the storm. Thank you, Sharon—you are a true gem, and we will never forget your hospitality.
