Our stay at New Hall Hotel & Spa in Sutton Coldfield was an unforgettable escape that exceeded every expectation, leaving us with memories we’ll cherish forever. This historic moated manor, brimming with centuries-old charm, blends timeless elegance with modern luxury, creating an experience that felt both enchanting and indulgent. The grounds were absolutely impeccable, a breathtaking sweep of lush gardens and serene landscapes. Strolling through the beautifully manicured gardens, framed by the tranquil moat, felt like stepping into a fairytale. The surrounding parkland offered peaceful trails where we spotted wildlife, adding a magical touch to our walks. The moat, alive with ducks and fish, was a captivating centerpiece we couldn’t stop admiring. The food was simply divine, with every meal a celebration of flavor. The restaurant’s modern British dishes, crafted with fresh, local ingredients, were bursting with creativity and beautifully presented. From leisurely breakfasts to exquisite dinners, each bite was a delight. We also loved the cozy lounge, where we savored expertly crafted cocktails and a decadent Afternoon Tea that felt like a treat fit for royalty. The dining alone left us dreaming of our next visit. The staff’s warmth and attentiveness were beyond exceptional, making us feel truly special. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond, anticipating our needs with genuine care. Their heartfelt hospitality, echoed in so many guest reviews, made every moment shine. We were also lucky to meet a local guest, staying with his wife, who shared fascinating stories about the hotel’s rich history, bringing its legacy to life in a way that deepened our appreciation. Our room was a heavenly retreat, blending historic charm with modern comfort. The beautifully designed space, with its elegant furnishings and serene garden views, was a perfect haven for relaxation.

The Genting is honestly such a beautiful hotel and it's really neat how it's in the middle of basically a shopping center/mall aka the Resorts World. If you stay at the Genting Hotel, you can be sure there's plenty for you to see and do! There was even an arcade kind of thing with fun and cool looking machines and games at the Resorts World and plenty of restaurants too, just to name a few examples! The breakfast at the Genting was good too! The twin room we stayed in is the biggest twin room I've ever been in, and it was very clean and comfy too! I'm being honest when I say it was absolutely perfect for me and my father! There were so many amenities as well, such as a hairdryer with a cold air feature and an iron + rack!! And I absolutely adored the bathtub! I haven't been in a bathtub since I was a kid so being able to experience a bath again after so very long was very nostalgic, haha! The bathroom itself was also pretty big and NOT cramped and tiny! We stayed at the Genting for a nearby convention which I plan on returning to each year and after my stay at the Genting, I wouldn't ever choose another hotel and will always choose this one! The staff were incredibly friendly too!

Hotels, even cheap ones should provide comfortable beds and warmth when the weather turns cold either by putting on the heating or providing extra bed covers. This place offered neither option. Cups in the room were not washed out properly. The sink plug hole in one room was full of toilet paper. That was after changing rooms because the first room had a double bed with the mattress at 2 different levels. The breakfast was so bad we did not bother on the second day. Hotels that put the cheapest instant coffee in the room for guests almost always provide poor quality food if they have a restaurant attached. Avoid their restaurant and breakfast.

The staff was rude at check in, there was no signage to say where we needed to check in, the room was unclean and hadn't been clean the floor and bedding was dirty. The mattress was like sleeping on concrete, I booked a twin room and we got a double so they can't even read simple requirements on a booking or reservation. There was mould around the window, on the window sill, on the ceiling of the bathroom, all over the shower tiles & around the shower drain. The shower door didn't close properly to keep it shut you had to hold otherwise it would bounce back open. The water fluctuated between freezing cold and scolding hot. There was a used soap still in the shower from whoever used it last, we was told the bar would shut at midnight, it stayed open until later than that, also when we went to discuss our issues with a member of management the next morning as we had no choice but to stay there as our 3 hour journey turned into 6 hours due to traffic. There was no one to be found, I have tried calling to express my concerns and there has been no answer, I have also written to them via the booking.com app and I still haven't had an answer. I believe they choose to ignore myself and booking.com so they don't have to refund the money that was paid. In the morning my friend and I had to strip the bed as we both thought we could feel something crawling over us during the night, so in the morning we checked for bed bugs. My personal opinion, even though not everyone may agree but I do not think this should be a listing on booking.com. I also do not think they should be 3 star facility.

    Staff were friendly.

Staff were friendly. The lighting in the room was horrific and applying even eyeliner was a challenge with such. The beds were extremely uncomfortable none of us could actually sleep. The tea/coffee was very basic and there was no bottled water. The stench of sewage outside the building and in our bathrooms was very unwelcoming. There's no lift and I had to take 2 children and our suitcases up 2 flights of stairs to the family room.

This so called hotel is not a hotel but seemed like a working mens club with tacky rooms attached (possibly used for brothel purposes). The reception was the bar area. To get to the rooms you had to walk through a bar full of people in the bar and then through the pool room. The room itself was tiny, stank of smoke, was very basically decorated, the heater didn't work, no tea making facilities, just a dreadful room. The first thing I did was make a booking with another hotel and luckily got one despite it being Crufts. I left soon after arriving. That hotel was familiar with the reputation of the Minworth Lodge as offering dreadful accommodation. I paid good money for that room and the website is completely inaccurate - fraudulent even. Do not stay there!

Minworth Lodge is not HOTEL it is more like a working mens club. It was awful. We did not venture into Minworth itself as we were going to the NEC We should have stayed two nights but left after the first. We did not feel safe in the place as someone was trying to get into out room in the middle of the night. Could not speak to the owner as they did not answer their phone or reply to our messages
