My mum was born in Carfin, and we visited relatives there quite frequently - mostly passed on now. My wife and I were on our way to a holiday in the highlands so we decided to break our journey in Motherwell. I was last there about fifty years ago, so everywhere was very different! My colleagues and I were working over the weekend. Check-in was great. We had a very helpful and friendly receptionist. Our rooms were clean with lots of space. Good wifi reception, too. We ate in the restaurant. The food was lovely. The crumble was an absolute treat! Excellent breakfast, and for those of us who to leave before the 7.30 start, we were offered a packed lunch to go.
