Whats not to like. Very nice room in a beautifull (just renovated) mansion with lovely view over the loch. Very comfy beds and Emma was very friendly. Breakfast looked amazing and had everything you need. Location wise just between Glencoe and Fort William. Shared dining & living room were small but comfy and intimate.

We pulled up at night, opened the gate and parked in front of a charming farmhouse. It was too dark to truly experience the beauty, but we were greeted by the owner Mairi (who I will be complimenting several times in this review) and shown to our rooms. Cozy room, separate sitting room, cute bathroom, comfortable bed. We opened our window at night to get some great country air.

When you wake up, you immediately realize how beautiful this place truly is. Phenomenal breakfast cooked by Gary with a phenomenal view and excellent coffee. Mairi and Gary really make you feel at home. Their Dog Brock and Cat Toby are icing on the cake, but they make sure that if you are “not a pet person” you don’t have to be(we loved it)

Then… the property itself. A gorgeous lake side farm with sheep, turkeys and the cleanest air. You could spend the entire day on the property just taking it in. My pictures do not do it justice. And we went in November, so imagine this place in the Spring/Summer months!

I cannot stress enough how wonderful our hosts were. They called a local restaurant and made us reservations, got us gluten free bread, and really care about their guests. I hope their business continues to thrive. They truly deserve it.

We can’t wait to return!

We chose to spend two nights at the Corran because it seemed to offer a perfect loci for visiting all the stellar attractions in the immediate area and we were well rewarded. Can't comment on hosts because we never did meet anyone but it wasn't needed. The rooms were spacious with a very comfortable living area and could have easily accommodated more than just the two of us. The property itself was a gift being right on a Loch with incredible currents and vistas. The ferry service offered to cross to the restaurant / pub and a brewery across the Loch was so accessible and added a unique touch to the experience. We reserved for two night and would have wanted a third! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time staying at Glenrigh house. The house and garden were beautiful, and it was very convenient to have a kitchen, fridge, and dishwasher to cook some of the meals of the day. We were also very happy that the house was stocked with some books, including lovely Scotland-themed children's books that delighted our toddler. The additional WC on the ground floor was also very convenient for a larger group getting ready in the morning. We found the location to be very convenient, with a short drive to some excellent hikes as well as a grocery store; we even walked to the loch shore and did the Inchree waterfall hike directly from the house. The caretaker lives nearby and was able to pop over to help us when we had questions. Overall, a top-notch stay and we would gladly come back!

I absolutely loved this place and they provided everything we needed to self cater. after a month of travel and eating out it was very nice to cook for ourselves and relax. The room was great and it’s perfectly located to explore the Glencoe area. They provided so many games and guide books, plus good advice! Be sure to do the Steall Falls trail and take the water taxi to the Inn at Ardgour for a pint!

The beach was lovely, love the beach.

The beach was lovely, love the beach. There was visitors that had their canoes, and underwater swimmers. Every day was different. I did not go up to the Hotel it's self as was my dogs first holiday and didn't want to leave her on her own not knowing how she would be in a strange place with other dogs. I went through to fort William where my dad was brought up it was lovely day out.

Glen Coe is beautiful if the weather is decent.

Glen Coe is beautiful if the weather is decent. If it's raining, it's pretty miserable. There really wasn't anything open in early October so we were challenged for things to do and we weren't even there a day. Our place was 25-30 minutes removed from hiking locations and near the one place open for dinner.

Onich is in a beautiful setting.

Onich is in a beautiful setting. Our pod had a lovely sunny private patio with a stunning view looking down the loch. It is in the centre of an outdoor activities area so there lots of nearby things to do - walking, climbing, mountain biking, sailing , paddle boarding etc. The hotel has reasonably priced bar and restaurant with charming staff. The food was average but it may depend what you order- I had vegetarian burger, my partner had scampi. If weather very poor there is a very nice small cinema, ten pin bowling etc in Fortwilliam which is 15 min drive. Pod is reasonably well equipped, bed was very comfortable but apart from a coat stand, there is nowhere to store clothes. There are no tea towels either.

End of our trip so only stayed one night - however this place is pretty and relaxing and I would say is ideal for exploring the likes of Fort William, Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Glenfinnan Viaduct etc so you could easily spend a few nights here before heading on to the Isle of Skye or further North.

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places.

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places. Ben Nevis is at Fort William, with the delicious whiskey distillery at its foot. Definitely visit Loch Shiel (famous filming location) and the viaduct at Glenfinnan (as seen in Harry Potter). You'll be totally spoilt with the stunning scenery on the way to and from Eilean Donan castle on Loch Duich - it's a bit of a drive but so, so worth it.

The view of the loch was good.

The view of the loch was good. It was a stormy day and night, but that was an interesting view too. It was a small simple room, which is all we need. I could do without the TV. The picture on the website made it super easy to spot as we approached. This was a great location for a stopover between things we did.

The modern cottage was great and exactly what we needed and more. The cottage was a mere 5 minute walk from the local hotel which served good food and drinks. Fort William, Ben Nevis and Glencoe were within 20 to 30 minutes by car. The living space offered a cosy, comfortable space to socialise with friends whilst taking in the incredible views of the loch. The kitchen and bathroom was modern and offered all the facilities you need for a short stay. Rachel (the host) was fantastic and answered any questions we had.

From the start we were delighted with this hotel , warm welcome at reception, super rooms with good size shower, comfortable bed, heating you can adjust and excellent tea tray, view over the Loch in one room . Varied menu to suit all tastes, good prices and good produce , nothing to much trouble, this was obvious from the full restaurant every night, staff very friendly and a really enjoyable stay. Thank you. It was a central point for discovering oban, Fort William and the Caledonian canal .

Enchanting stay with the view directly on the loch ! A bit expensive but worth our money, the staff was wonderful, welcoming and helpful and food excellent quality with a restaurant directly below the rooms. Bathrooms were brand new with very nice showers, the place is definitely better looking in person than what was shown on pictures so it was a nice surprise

The guesthouse offers beautiful views of the lake and mountains. It offers a short but very tasty dinner menu and quite good breakfasts, which stood out in comparison to the generally poor quality of food in Scotland. The bar offers a large selection of whiskey.
