    It has most of what you would expect from a traditional...

    It has most of what you would expect from a traditional Yorkshire Dales village and more, with a good mix of old and new. A very traditional inn, down to earth, with a good mix of locals and visitors, sits next to a recently refurbished one, apparently aiming for the higher spending tourists. A central area offers cobbled parking in front of inns and shops. There is still a village green, (with actual local children playing), a post office, a general store and a mix of other outlets for arts/crafts, gifts, ice-cream etc. Very easy access to both the gentler riverside aspects and the wilder moorlands of the area.

    Short stay this time but Reeth is my favourite place to visit which I have done every year for almost 40 yrs. have sampled many different B& B’s, hotels and self catering accommodation in the area all had their own charm. A town that hasn’t changed from our first visit excepting we nearly always get an en suite now!

    Lovely village for peace and quiet and a rest.The Ice Cream...

    Lovely village for peace and quiet and a rest.The Ice Cream Parlour is amazing!!! There is plenty of parking on the village green and infront of the Hotels. Would definitely recommend going to Reeth and have a walk down to the river.

    Reeth is a stunning village with cafes, couple of pubs...

    Reeth is a stunning village with cafes, couple of pubs serving excellent food, a handful of shops and a fantastic ice cream parlour. It's a brilliant place for walkers, cyclist and the general outdoors or for anyone who just wants to tour beautiful Swaledale and the Yorkshire Dales.

    Reeth is a traditional Yorshire Village located around a village green. Plenty of pubs and great walks striaght from the village. Other local attractions are close by and it's within easy reach of Richmond which is also great to visit.

    The village of Reeth is a delightful part of the upper Dales...

    The village of Reeth is a delightful part of the upper Dales. We visited the CB pub on the way in from Scotland, highly recommend a pint there. We also visited the Tarn Hill pub, unfortunately not such a great experience. We also went to the Thursday evening working sheep dog show near Hawes- an ABSOLUTE MUST for those who are interested. Stay at number 4 Alpine Cottages- Tracey is fantastic and helpful.

    Location could not have been more perfect for us, just behind the pubs but with zero noise. Reeth is an amazing place and we are already planning our next visit! The cottage had everything we needed for a short stay and was clean, cosy and comfortable. Hannah answered the questions that I had before we arrived and completely put me at ease, would definitely stay in one of her properties again. Lovely little place!

    Hannah and Terry were very friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect for our stay in Reeth. It was in a great central location. There was a great attention to detail in the room - very compact and comfortable. The breakfast we had at The Buck was lovely. We had a great weekend. Many thanks to Hannah and Terry!

    The staff were.very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Food was typical pub food, but was very nicely cooked and tasty, as were the breakfasts. Location was great and only a short way to Reeth. Lovely walking area in beautiful Swaledale.
