What a charming place to spend the day.
What a charming place to spend the day. We strolled around Kiplings Garden and got to go inside a windmill! Loved the exhibition at The Grange too. A good selection of traditional pubs with amazing gardens and one with a view of the duck pond on the green. Had a dip in the Art Deco Lido at Saltdean too. I grew up in Rottingdean although haven't returned for several decades. It is still a delightful village, especially around the green and pond. A lot less the victim of too much tourism which affects Brighton itself. Easy transport connections along the coast in both directions. It is ideally located for us to access the DFDS ferry port. It is a £3 bus ride to Brighton. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The under cliff walk is lovely, and there are plenty of things to do right on the doorstep. The hotel is right on the sea front.
