Lots of different eateries .
Lots of different eateries . We enjoyed food at The Salty Dog and also from The old Court House. Both restaurants were good value. There is another place The Boathouse and Anchor which is on the harbour. If you want a loud bustling atmosphere stay downstairs, For a pure dining experience go upstairs. The harbour itself is full of boats and quite pretty. Walking is for the most part on the flat. We loved the pretty harbour and the excellent choice of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The small cove to the right of the harbour was fabulous, very quiet with rock pools to explore and safe swimming. The bus service from the village to other areas of the Island is good. i know the village well and it has everything you need without the hussle and bustle of St Helier. Plenty of choices to eat, or just cook yourself if applicable. Market in town sells loads of fresh produce if you are self catering and if not there's 10+ eating establishments within the village and on a major bus route to town or the airport. Well maintained historic buildings around the old fishing harbour, High Street and Market Hill. Wooded hillsides provide far reaching views and lovely walks from the doorstep. Samarez Botanic Gardens, Gerald Durrell's Jersey Zoo, the German underground WW2 Military Hospital and Gorey medieval Castle were all excellent and easily accessible by flat rate fare bus service from nearby St Helier.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I think this is best part of the island as beaches & restaurants close to hand & you can use it as a base for trips all around the island. The area was very good & lovely sights. They are so attentive and nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast was amazing with added small touches like home made scones or brownies. A couple of days we were up & out early so they provided sandwiches and organised the taxis. I have to mention the beautiful bathroom. The shower was the best I've ever had in a hotel.
