Very attractive small town with excellent views across the bay to Hern and Sark islands. Plenty to do around Guernsey from cliff walks, beautiful beaches, several occupation museums as well as good restaurants and pubs. Great for a short break

Beautiful place, good selection of shops and eateries, parking was for us very straightforward. Had a lovely atmosphere and the islanders are very friendly. We explored the whole island in a lovely hire car, but do need a sat nav to get about. The Underground Military Museum is fabulously rich in artefacts and history of German occupation.

Visit to Castle Cornet a must plus ferries to Sark & Herm.

Visit to Castle Cornet a must plus ferries to Sark & Herm. Both enjoyable for different reasons.Other museums interesting & good value. Local bus service provides good reliable service. Not worth buying day pass for £10 per person unless you are doing 7 journeys or more a day.

My favourite places are Candie Gardens and the Priaulx Library where the staff were very helpful. I ate at the hotel and also the bathing pool where the new 'cafe' is lovely and also had a meal at the Imperial Hotel where the food was also excellent (possibly a little more pricey but worth it). St Peter Port is very easy to get around on foot - i would avoid using a vehicle due to the parking. It's far easier, if you're not in walking distance, to just get the bus.

I just liked the easy going way of life there, atmosphere, location, what was open to see and do and the people perfectly friendly and welcoming. I liked especially the views of Herm, Sark, France and Jersey. I just ate in a few take away's and cafe's mostly. I found getting around was no problem with many buses. I liked the different walks that could be done to explore and the boat trip to Sark
