The pub was welcoming, the hosts, staff and other customers. It is a bit remote BUT it was ideal for me as I used to go to school locally, had fished the Torridge, grew up reading Henry Williamson, walking the moor and playing rugby and cricket throughout the West Country. On a personal note I could not have wished for a better break away weekend. We enjoyed it so much that we are already planning our 52 year reunion! Beautiful inn and the surrounding area of Half-moon Inn. The Inn is the most accommodating to the needs of people with dogs and gluten free needs. Fantastic food. Tea and breakfast was excellent. Recommended. Recommended booking for tea in advance. Lovely log fire in the bar. Dogs welcome in the bar during meal times. Nothing negative. All needs met. And exceptional service .
