We stayed at Wheatsheaf Hotel, and it was superb. Swinton is a very small, remote village in the Scottish borders. It appears on this, our first visit, to be sleepy and have little to do, but this was in January so it is probably not a true reflection. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We were given a dining room of our own. The food was excellent and suited everyone. Parking was no problem and there was a charging station for an electric car.
