I had a fantastic stay! The house was spotless and even better than it looked in the pictures. It had everything I needed, including a full set of cutlery, which made meals so convenient. The owner was absolutely lovely and went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable. Highly recommend!

We booked the suite for the night. The room was really clean and tidy and loved the hidden bookshelf door to the bathroom. The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much for them. The food at the restaurant was fantastic as again were the staff. The breakfast was really good too. Will 100% recommend and stay again. Thank you to all the staff at The Rake

    Hidden gem that will soon rival Hebden Bridge. We found some lovely bars and shops and a great coffee/tea bar in the indoor market. Great place to spend an afternoon, will definitely be visiting Todmorden again in the future.

    Hospitality is good - the Honest John restaurant was very good and there are good cafes in town, in particular Grasso. Easy access to walking and to drive to other nearby towns and villages. We attended a stained glass panel making course in Todmorden which was great.

    walks from Todmorden are great you can have hill climbs or gentle walks along the canal paths in both directions and return by train or bus as they both have a regular service. The town itself has all that you need for a great break or longer stay highly recommend.

    Lovely and interesting place, lots of cafe's restaurants and bars. Entertainment wise lots going on, music nights, theatre, nearby cinema, walks, cycling etc. Locals are friendly and chatty. The surroundings are semi rural, some beautiful landscapes especially on the tops above the town.

    My first time in Todmorden (to visit family), I was overwhelmed by its beauty, friendliness, peace and tranquility but with many activities and amenities. A wonderful town and community! I wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely be visiting again.

    We enjoyed exploring the house and garden. Loved watching the lambs sheep and geese in the adjacent fields during the daylight hours and bats and owls during the evenings. Lots of interesting things to see on the hillside beyond the garden. Climbed up to the pike, lovely views from up there. The house was lovely and peaceful, and the large kitchen table was extremely handy. A lovely warm house too. We would love to return next time we visit todmorden.

    I have no words to define my stay in The Queens. Elaine and the staff are truly kind and supportive, leading me to feel that I was in a shelter. After checking out, I found myself in a rainy day and my train to home departed at night, I asked Elaine if I could stay in the reception meanwhile and she let me to stay. It was so kind. I hope I come back soon to Todmorden, definitely I will stay at The Queens.

    The accomodation was lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was perfect with lots to do nearby (including beautiful walks, Manchester is a short train journey away and there are great restaurants and live music within walking distance in Todmorden). The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly return.

    There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. You do have a wifi connection, so if you want to watch a movie or listen to music, bring a device with you as there is no tv. We enjoyed our stay here it was nice and chilled. We visited Hebden Bridge and Todmorden lovely little places.
