Lovely seaside location. Some great restaurants. Would recommend the boat trip to one of the nearby towns. Promenade is great however, the High Street is a bit depressing. Torquay has something for everyone.
Torquay has something for everyone. A fabulous beach with a cafe at the far end. The marina is fabulous for a leisurely walk, you will also pass many cafes / bars along the way to stop at for coffee and cake ir indeed something a bit stronger and a meal. Ice cream can be bought too whilst you take your stroll. On e into the centre town of Torquay it does not disappoint with its many shops. I can see why Torquay gains the reputation as being know as the English Riviera. If you catch this place when the weather is nice, it is perfect to spend time there. We have been to Torquay several times over the years and...
We have been to Torquay several times over the years and generally have always found it to be a great place to be based. We use public transport, and it is easy to get to all the places around the bay. We particularly love going to Brixham, Paignton, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth and places in their vicinity. After a year in East Anglia the hills came as a bit of a shock. After day 3 we didn’t notice the ups and downs and enjoyed our daily walks. Rockfish?
